Distribution of flour and beans from first harvest

Distribution of flour and beans from first harvest

The first distribution of flour and beans was completed this week [SEPTEMBER 21, 2023].

We are happy that the first harvest has resulted in a yield of approximately 500 KGs of the finest corn flour [and 150 KG of residues that can be used as food for the pigs, etc.].

The bags of flour were unloaded, in the rain, to be stored at the Rafiki Wildlife’s Art Center.  Eight (8) Batwa families each received the first distribution of 20 KGs of flour/posho and 3 KGs of beans.

This is a time to celebrate the first harvest and distribution from the Batwa farm at Matanda. The second crops for this year have already been planted! We hope for an even more productive harvest and yield in the next harvest!
